Recap: Our Community Gathering Was One to Remember
Every so often, an evening at the restaurant reminds us exactly why we opened these doors in the first place, and our most recent community gathering was one of those nights.
We opened the space to neighbors, regulars, and local organizations for an evening of good food and easy conversation, no formal program, just an open invitation to come together. The dining room filled up fast, and by early evening it was full of familiar faces mixed in with plenty of new ones.
Our kitchen put together a relaxed, family-style spread meant for sharing: big platters passed down long tables, second helpings encouraged, and a dessert table that emptied faster than we expected. It felt less like a restaurant service and more like a shared table at someone’s home.
What stayed with us most, though, were the small conversations happening throughout the room: old friends catching up, new connections forming, a genuine sense of community around the table. That’s the kind of night that makes all the long prep days worth it.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made it feel exactly like what we hoped it would be. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
